In 1905, eleven-year-old Frank Epperson of San Francisco wanted to make a drink for himself in the evening.
To do this, Frank mixed water and soda powder (which was popular at the time) with a stick. When his mother called out that it was time to go to sleep, Frank left the glass with the stick in it.
It had frozen that night and because of this the drink was frozen. The next day Frank took the first popsicle to school. When Frank was twenty-nine he began producing popsicles in seven different fruit flavors. The popsicle became popular worldwide.
In 1905, the popsicle was invented by eleven-year-old Frank Epperson. He made a drink with water and some soda powder that he stirred through with a stick. Because his mother told him to go to sleep, he left the drink. When he woke up the next morning, it had frozen and the drink with the stick in it was frozen too. This was the first popsicle.
